I've seen a couple of interesting reviews on this topic, and my curiosity is piqued. I'll have to check it out. I'm a fan of anyone who can look (and moreover, can laugh) and some of the silliness within Mormon culture. Mormons do need to laugh at themselves - I think in some ways it helps to make Mormons a little bit more aware (not only of themselves but of the world in general).
And that sexuality/spirituality thing is really interesting. I can totally see where she is coming from. (Although the whole atheist-ear-whispering scene sounds really, really bizarre. I haven't even read the book yet, and I'm wondering why she didn't discuss/laugh/cry/explore/lament why she did that.)
